The Identity Fraud, Inc. executive team is comprised of experienced individuals in the areas of fraud resolution, insurance, technology and risk management.
Tom helped pioneer identity and data theft insurance and risk management products that originated in 1997. As founder, president and CEO of Identity Fraud, Inc., he developed the business model, products, partners and advisors. He is responsible for IFI operations and continued product and business development of consumer products, enterprise risk management, and technology products that influence fraud exposures.
Most recently, Tom is credited with designing the nation's first Business Identity Fraud insurance product, which has been integrated into IFI's comprehensive small business "SB" data theft risk management offerings. Tom is also responsible for establishing and maintaining the nation's first Data Theft Risk Purchasing Group, as designed for businesses and their respective liabilities that arise from the collection, use and disclosure of sensitive information.
Previously, Tom was president of Summa Management Associates, Inc., a boutique e-Risk management and insurance consultancy that specialized in electronic theft, identity theft, and privacy exposures. At Summa, he co-founded Tripwire Insurance Services that represented the combination of computer security technology with e-Risk "cyber" insurance and developed the first insurance premium discounts for companies with properly deployed computer security infrastructures.
Over the past 20 years, Tom has worked at leading US insurance brokerages and earned the CPCU and AMIM insurance designations while working in the Lloyd's insurance market in London, England. He holds his BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Jim brings extensive product and program development and management expertise to IFI and supports the company's business development efforts. Prior to joining IFI, Jim was Vice President, Product Enhancements at Visa USA, where he developed and launched Visa's first identity theft product offering. He also led strategic development and tactical management of all Visa Signature consumer features, while driving account growth of 50% and a sales volume lift of 22% in the 2005 business year. At Visa, Jim developed and executed new benefit features that remain the foundation of core Visa Signature advertising messages for Visa Signature. He executed consumer facing credit product strategy changes impacting 280 million cards issued by over 2,000 Visa Member institutions acting as executive responsible for operational, business affairs, governance, communications and customer service project teams and results.
Prior to joining Visa in 1998, Jim was Underwriting Manager of Payment Card and Specialty Products at Virginia Surety Company, Inc. where he had responsibility for over forty programs and major client accounts. Jim began his career at Aon Warranty Group in Chicago, maintains his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and received his BA from Michigan State University.
Don leads the IFI fraud resolution team comprising IFI's FCRA certified VRS Elite resolution specialists. Don also heads all training programs that help management, employees and customers understand and respond to fraud perils. Don is a 30-year retired veteran Detective in the Financial Crimes Unit for the City of Concord, California. Don began to specialize in identity fraud investigations subsequent to his appointment to the Financial Crimes Unit in 1992. He has conducted numerous investigations and searches involving the theft of mail, personal information, financial account numbers, counterfeit checks, credit cards, drivers licenses, bills, etc. As a result, Don also educates law enforcement departments on how to identify and investigate identity fraud.
Don is a past president of the Concord Police Officers Association. In 2003 and 2007, he received the Policeman of the Year award. Don is also past president of the Northern California Financial Crimes Investigators Association (CFCIA) which members include law enforcement (Police, Postal Inspectors, IRS and Secret Service, etc.) and investigators from financial institutions and major department stores.
Jonathan is responsible for all of IFI computer related operations and client integrations. Jonathan has worked around the world and recently managed a 40 person IT team as part of a $40 Million project to design, develop, and globally implement SAPs ERP applications. He has supported financial and HR systems in North and South America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, including business software development, deployment, and training for 15 international job sites and offices. A notable accomplishment includes the successful operations management of construction offices and a 1000-employee campsite for a $600 Million copper extraction project in Chile. He is a Six Sigma Champion and fluent in Spanish.
Ken is a principal of Commins & Webster, PC and serves as outside legal counsel for Identity Fraud, Inc., managing the company's legal affairs and all technology, trade partner and customer contract matters. Ken brings fifteen years of experience in both corporate law and business litigation to IFI. After practicing in the business litigation department of San Francisco's Graham & James LLP, Ken served as General Counsel for companies in the Technology Staffing, Financial Services Software and Construction Services industries.
Ken is a former Naval Intelligence Officer and Gulf War veteran. He received his JD degree, cum laude, from the University of San Francisco and his BS degree from the University of Southern California.
