Purchasing the Core Identity Protection plan with ID Patrol will include the following:

Credit Report Lock - ID Patrol allows you to easily lock and unlock your Equifax credit file. Lock capabilities prevent access to your credit file and is one of the best ways to prevent 'new account fraud'. Unlock features provide the flexibility to temporarily unlock your credit report for all companies or only for specific companies. Alerts to your lock/ unlock status provide further protection and peace of mind. (Please note that access may remain for certain requestors of your credit file, including Equifax, Federal, state, and local government agencies, employers for employment applications, insurers for insurance applications, institutions where you have an existing relationship and companies providing pre-approved offers of credit or insurance. To opt out of such pre-approved offers, call 1-888-567-8688).

Internet Scans - Scans the Internet for your Social Security number (if you choose) and up to 10 major credit/debit card numbers you provide, and alerts you if your information is found. (Please note that the Internet evolves quickly and there is no guarantee that your information will be located or that fraud will be prevented).

Triple-Bureau Monitoring - Monitor your credit file at Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion with "daily" notification of key changes in these credit files. Wireless and customizable alerts are available. You will also be provided one free "3-in-1" combined credit report and have unlimited access to your Equifax credit reports throughout the year. If there are no changes in your credit files, you'll receive a monthly "No News is Good News" alert for greater peace of mind.

Proactive VRS Elite™ Prevention - You may 'opt-in' to activate free credit bureau fraud alerts, remove your name from solicitation lists, obtain credit freeze enrollment letters and receive similar prevention assistance and support. Identity Insurance - Identity insurance can be critcal in the event of loss. Each active Member is provided $1,025,000 of identity fraud insurance coverage (Member Indemnity Benefits) to cover certain expenses associated with identity fraud. Identity insurance is underwritten by two separate A-rated insurers to provide unique and important coverages.

Expense Coverage

Core Identity Protection provides important broad identity insurance expense coverage (Member Indemnity Benefits) with a $0 deductible. In the event you become a victim of identity fraud, you will incur expenses in the battle to regain your good name. In many cases, the level of sophistication required to clear your good name and regain your identity will require the assistance of a professional Attorney. Having resources that are able to support your efforts and financial and emotional well being is an essential element of your protection. Remember, your identity is an asset that deserves protection.

Identity Insurance / Expense Coverage*

The benefits provide insurance coverage to victims of identity fraud up to $25,000 or as applicable to your specific Membership Plan, and as subject to specific terms of our Master insurance policy and Membership Agreement, for:

Lost wages up to $1,000 per week for a maximum of $10,000;
Reasonable legal fees and court costs incurred with prior consent for suits brought by creditor, collection agency, other institution, as a direct result of an identity fraud incident;
Reasonable legal fees and court costs incurred with prior consent for removing civil or criminal judgments wrongfully entered against you as a direct result of an identity fraud incident;
Contesting the inaccuracy or incompleteness of any information or records containing Your personal information which is the direct result of an Incident, other than legal fees and court costs incurred in a legal proceeding of any kind filed, brought, or maintained by You, on Your behalf, or for Your benefit;
Costs for mail, certified mail, and long distance telephone or facsimile communications to law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, government agencies, or similar organizations;
Costs for re-filing loan applications, filing police reports, notarizing affidavits or similar documents, replacing government issued identification documents with Our consent, and obtaining copies of one credit report from each of the three main credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion) every three months for a maximum of three times per Incident, a Medical Information Bureau report, a driving record report, and a criminal background report;
Costs to enroll in a one-year triple-bureau credit-monitoring service provided by one of the three main credit-reporting agencies and a one-year myFICO monitoring service. However, Personal Records Monitoring costs shall not be provided for Incidents solely relating to Your existing credit or debit card account(s);
Reasonable and necessary travel costs incurred with Our prior consent for airfare and hotel accommodations where Your presence in legal proceedings is required by court order and/or at Our request;
We shall reimburse You for Your actual loss arising from an Incident and from the unauthorized use of Your credit card, debit card, funds transfer card, or check as registered in Your name where You have a legal liability for such loss. We shall pay up to a maximum of $5,000 regardless of the number of distinct and separate losses.

A deductible of $0 applies to the above indemnity benefits.

It also includes detailed analysis on privacy and security issues together with worksheets and action items to help gain back your identity.

Family Protection Discounts - At any point, you may purchase Core Identity Protection for family for only $19.95 per person. Family members or extended family members include a spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, grandparent or sibling. Each individual will have $25,000 of identity insurance and benefit from VRS Elite™. This price does not include ID Protect.
