Identity Fraud, Inc. Executive Team

The Identity Fraud, Inc. executive team is comprised of experienced individuals in the areas of fraud resolution, insurance, technology and risk management.

Thomas A. Widman - President & CEO

Tom helped pioneer identity and data theft insurance and risk management products that originated in 1997. As founder, president and CEO of Identity Fraud, Inc., he developed and is responsible for all aspects of IFI operations including product and business development for both the consumer and small business divisions.

Most recently, Tom is credited with designing the nation's first Business Identity Fraud insurance product, which has been integrated into IFI's comprehensive small business "SB" data theft risk management offerings. Tom is also responsible for establishing and maintaining the nation's first Data Theft Risk Purchasing Group, as designed for businesses and their respective liabilities that arise from the collection, use and disclosure of sensitive information.

Previously, Tom was president of Summa Management Associates, Inc., a boutique e-Risk management and insurance consultancy that specialized in electronic theft, identity theft, and privacy exposures. At Summa, he co-founded Tripwire Insurance Services that represented the combination of computer security technology with e-Risk "cyber" insurance and developed the first insurance premium discounts for companies with properly deployed computer security infrastructures.

Over the past 25 years, Tom has worked at leading US insurance brokerages and earned the CPCU and AMIM insurance designations while working in the Lloyd's insurance market in London, England. He holds his BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

James C. Stretch - Vice President, Business Development

James helps lead the IFI business development and sales team and has over 25 years of specialty product and business experience. Formally, James worked for over seven years at VISA. He served primarily as VP of Product Enhancements where he led strategic development and tactical management of all U.S. cardholder features and benefits, which positively impacted 280 million cards issued by over 2,000 Visa Member institutions. Prior to VISA, James was a specialty product and payment card industry underwriting manager for Virginia Surety when it was the underwriting company of Aon Warranty Group. As a current insurance executive, he maintains his CPCU and helps support IFI’s proprietary insurance offerings and operations. James is a graduate of Michigan State University.

Nick Legamaro - Managing Director, IFT Division

Nick has over 25 years of business and management experience with the past 7 years dedicated to identity protection. He has helped create and is responsible for Identity Fraud Technologies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of IFI. The "IFT" team delivers the proprietary BIZLock Protection Suite to merchants and SMBs via its ISO/MSP and financial institution sales channels. BIZLock provides the nation's leading merchant protection program and when coupled with IFI's SB Core Protector and cyber/privacy insurance programs represents a truly unique offering not available elsewhere. Nick's team is also responsible for adding to its stable of technology solutions that are intended for SMBs and financial institutions to address FFIEC, PCI, HIPAA and related compliance needs. Nick is a graduate of Arizona State.

Jonathan P. Wade - Technology

Jonathan is responsible for all of IFI computer related operations and client integrations. Jonathan has worked around the world and recently managed a 40 person IT team as part of a $40 Million project to design, develop, and globally implement SAPs ERP applications. He has supported financial and HR systems in North and South America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, including business software development, deployment, and training for 15 international job sites and offices. A notable accomplishment includes the successful operations management of construction offices and a 1000-employee campsite for a $600 Million copper extraction project in Chile. He is a Six Sigma Champion and fluent in Spanish.

Gary W. Bellig, JD, MBA - Legal Counsel

Gary has over twenty years of legal and business experience, having worked at large law firms (Morrison & Foerster, and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison) as well as operating his own law firm. Gary also was president and Co-Founder of Hope Network International – a missions organization in strategic partnership with indigenous ministry leaders in Asia and Africa – where he developed the organization’s vision and strategy and directed all aspects of international project implementation, evaluation and reporting. He successfully cultivated relationships with indigenous ministry leaders, partnering with them to advance a shared vision and connecting them with high net worth individuals. He created a climate of engagement that encouraged private philanthropy and church partnerships in support of the organization and its programs. Gary earned his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude from the Santa Clara University School of Law, his MBA from UC Davis and his BA in Economics from UC Berkeley.
